As the recognition of the E Cig continues to rise in the commercial market, more and more are starting to use it to appease their nicotine cravings. Amongst the many are famous celebrities who have been purchasing this lifestyle alternative instead of having the burning byproducts of actual cigarettes.

Celebrities who chose to use the E Cig as alternative to their habit are the following:

Katherine Heigl. The past ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actress first showed the world her E Cig when she was invited as a guest on The Late Show with David Letterman. Letterman has mistaken the E Cig as an ordinary dog whistle when Heigl took it out during her interview. He even took a try of the machine which opened his eyes and the late night world to the newest accessory to the young and hip.

Leonardo DiCaprio. A well-known smoker on the set, the very private matinee idol was first seen puffing on his E Cig while riding his bike on the streets of New York city. He was also seen using a SmokeStik Brand electronic cigarette when he went to an event in Los Angeles.

Lindsay Lohan. This wild child has been known to be a chain smoker but latest reports find her using an E Cig during breaks from her community service work at the LA County Morgue.

Kevin Connolly. Pretty ironic, since his character is called E on the show Entourage. This actor has been caught on film smoking indoors at an industry event. Upon closer examination, the television star was using an E Cig indoors, much to the chagrin of regular smokers who have to smoke outdoors.

Kevin Federline. The baby daddy of Britney Spears’ little tykes has also chosen the E Cig and was seen using it while babysitting his sons Sean Preston and Jaden James as they wait for their mother.

Johnny Depp. This versatile actor was seen in the film The Tourist with Angelina Jolie using an E Cig in a sequence on a train. Despite of the fact that it was merely used as a prop on the movie, Depp is also known to also need his nicotine fixes and this can be a better option for him.

Kate Moss. This controversial supermodel has been known to take harder stuff. After coming clean, she has switched on using E Cig for a healthier smoking habit.

Paris Hilton. The heiress is always known to be atop the trendy and latest buzz. The newest accessory she is into now is neither a cigarette or lighter but an E cig which she can use for her nicotine fix while in visiting the hot spots that she frequently goes to.

Tom Petty. The Heartbreakers front man has already discovered the joys of powering up an E Cig instead of lighting up a cigarette. According to an interview he did, using an E Cig provides him with a shot of nicotine that still takes off the edge of smoking. After all, he is nearing his sixtieth birthday.

Charlie Sheen. The actor who has the biggest meltdown of 2011 is also a user of the E Cig and even owns a company producing this device. The company is named NicoSheen and he says it is the future of smoking.
